Hall Hire

​Located on beautiful Balmoral Oval and only 100m from the beach, 1st Balmoral Scout Hall is a great location for children's parties and events. Please use the links below to check hall availability and to make a provisional booking subject to confirmation by our team.

 

Hall Hire Fee Update – Effective 13 July 2026

As a volunteer-run Scout Group, we are committed to providing a clean, safe and well-maintained community facility while keeping our hire fees as affordable as possible.

After careful consideration, and in response to rising operating, cleaning and maintenance costs, our hall hire fees will be updated for all new bookings made from 13 July 2026.

Session times and rates

Weekend Half-Day Hire           9am - 1pm or 2pm - 6pm        $350
Weekend Full-Day Hire 9am - 6pm $450
Weekday Hourly Fee   $80 per hour
 
 

New Multi-Day Hire Fee

For bookings of two or more consecutive days, a Multi-Day Hire Fee of $200 per week will apply. This fee helps cover the additional cleaning, wear and tear, utilities and maintenance associated with extended use of the hall.

We thank our hirers for their ongoing support and understanding. Every dollar raised through hall hire is reinvested into maintaining and improving our facilities, helping us provide a welcoming space for the community while supporting the programs and activities of 1st Balmoral Scout Group and the young people we serve.

Cancellation policies:
Up to 7 days prior to your scheduled booking time: Complete Refund
Within 7 days but up to 24 hours of your booking time: 50% of booking amount
Within 24 hours of your scheduled booking time: No refund

​Please note alcohol is not permitted on the premises when children (i.e. under 18's) are present.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND GUIDANCE FOR HALL HIRE

Facilities

Fully equipped servery with oven and cooktop, 420L fridge with freezer, microwave and kettle.

  • Servery from the kitchen to outdoor verandah.
  • Male and female toilets.
  • 3-4 trestle tables.
  • 13 Plastic chairs.
  • Mop and broom.

You will need to bring the following:

  • Garbage bags.
  • Toilet paper.
  • Crockery, cutlery and drinking cups.
  • Kitchen spray and cloths.
  • Tea towels and napkins.

Scout hall hirers responsibilities:

  1. Sweep kitchen floor and mop up any sticky spills.
  2. Sweep the timber floors and put any sand back outside.
  3. Wipe down the kitchen surfaces and trestle tables.
  4. Ensure trestle tables are folded flat against the wall and chairs are stacked away.
  5. Please FLUSH both toilets.
  6. Take all your rubbish with you.
  7. Turn off all lights, especially the toilets and outdoor spotlights.
  8. Take all decorations down and take them with you.
  9. All door mats must be locked in the hall after the floors have been swept.
  10. Hirers must not interfere with any Scouting related posters, lanyards honour boards or flat stands in the hall.

Hall access details will be provided prior to your booking and is via a lockbox system on-site.

Please leave the hall in the same (or better) condition than you found it!
